Carniolan honeybee queens - CAR NIESKA line: Breeding material sourced from Mr. Loc. These bees are gentle, calm, and show a low tendency to swarm; they respond very well to simple anti-swarming techniques. They are outstanding honey producers. Nieska bees overwinter very well and utilize their winter stores efficiently. After winter, they resume brood rearing cautiously but with great dynamics.

Carniolan Queen Bees - CAR DOBRA Line Carniolan bees of the CAR DOBRA line originate from the Beskid Wyspowy region and the area surrounding Limanowa. Bees of this line are characterized by outstanding hygienic behavior, which makes them resistant to a wide range of diseases. They handle overwintering exceptionally well. CAR DOBRA queens completely cease egg-laying at the end of September and only resume brooding after the emergence of the first pollen flows. Despite this very cautious start to egg-laying, they are known for remarkably dynamic spring development. The line is very gentle and highly productive with a high honey yield. Furthermore, CAR DOBRA bees exhibit a low tendency for swarming and are well-adapted to wintering even after late-season honeydew flows.

The Carniolan bee of the Wielka line is perfectly adapted to collecting nectar flows under various conditions. It possesses excellent functional and biological traits—it is highly productive, non-swarming, winter-hardy, disease-resistant, and very prolific. It performs well in both large-scale commercial apiaries and small backyard hives. Bees of the Wielka line are gentle and calm, maintaining a steady hold on the combs. They do not run or scatter when the hive is opened. They remain non-aggressive and even-tempered even during periods of nectar dearth or in poor, windy weather. Nonetheless, it is best to perform hive inspections and other beekeeping tasks on nice, sunny, and warm days. The Wielka line bees are easy to handle, making them a smooth choice even for novice beekeepers.

This line was established based on Caucasian bees from the Muchursk population. These bees are gentle, stay well on the combs, and propolize the nest heavily; they seal honey with a "wet" capping and are highly productive, making them suitable for both weak and intensive nectar flows. They utilize honeydew and heather flows very effectively. While they are generally calm and non-excitable, their aggressiveness may increase at low temperatures. They exhibit a non-swarming trait and overwinter well in uninsulated hives. This line is excellent for crossbreeding with Carniolan bees and typically forms medium-sized families. It does not require frequent inspections and is highly recommended for beginner beekeepers.

Carniolan bees with the CORDOVAN genetic mutation are highly prized and sought after by beekeepers. This specific mutation is positively linked to honey production, effectively enhancing the trait.
